Message	Blacking out any part of the valance will be hard to make look good at all if even possible. As for the mesh I think you should take another shot at it and make it so that you dont see the edges or a badly cut out. Dont get bummed out though. I really think you have something nice going there. Also im sure you can figure out another way to put in the mesh without removing the exhaust.
